Day 3: In February of 2019 my good friend Ian O and I started working on some of his songs together. This was another project where the bulk of the tracking had already been done before the project came to me. Ian is a very capable producer and mixer in his own right and his songs were thoroughly fleshed out in advance. The arrangements were rad so it made my job way easier which was to play drums and mix. One of the cool things he did on some of these songs was to learn chord progressions backwards knowing that they would be reversed in post. This song was fun to mix and only scratches the surface of what he has done recently. He also just released a song a week for a whole year or something crazy in case you didn’t know!
